My approach
I've found that I have many first-time clients haven't hired a professional writer or editor because creative processes seem unpredictable or difficult to organize. Allow me to set your mind at ease by giving you a preview of working with me. I like to leave the creativity for the writing process, and keep the project well organized and predictable, so you know what you're getting at every step of the way.
Talk it through
We start with a conversation to clarify your objectives and the scope of the project. Provide a quote
Once we've settled on the scope of the project, I provide you with a quote for my work. I find that a project-based fee that incorporates all the revision stages gives my clients peace of mind and clarity about how much the project will cost.Agree on the brief
I'll provide you with a detailed project brief template that we'll work through together, to ensure we are both on the same page about what the finished product should look like.Drafting
The drafting process may involve some research or analysis, depending on the nature of the project – and I work according to agreed project milestones if there are pieces of the project that need your approval.Review cycle
Once I've sent you through your first draft, we review, tweak and amend it until you're happy with the finished product.Approval and invoicing
After I have your email approval that the project meets your specifications, I'll send through an invoice for the agreed project fee.
